After quitting her job of fifteen years 8 years ago as a Senior Vice President of Business Development for a national outsourcing company to dedicate more time to her daughters, Tanya had stayed active in the community, but it wasn't until hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico that she felt a calling to roll up her sleeves and go back to work. After finishing her masters degree she decided to settle in Boca Raton, FL but kept strong roots in Puerto Rico having most of her family still living there. Having been born and raised in Puerto Rico she felt a strong calling and she knew she had to do something to help the island get back on its feet. What started as a small thought turned into a strong movement. Together with a great team their vision is powerful and their commitment is steady.
Simona was born in Sicily and was the first woman to graduate from college in her family. Her parents brought her to the United States in hopes of a better education. Things clearly worked out as Simona is now a Partner at Deloitte Consulting. She takes tremendous pride in her Life Sciences technology strategy and Inclusion leadership at Deloitte. However, her biggest accomplishment is raising two beautiful, intelligent and strong daughters.
Having island roots herself, Simona felt a tremendous need to help Tanya and the soulful people of Puerto Rico. One of her most favorite vacation spots in all the world, is Vieques in Puerto Rico. The devastation there completely broke her heart, so when her best friend called she did not hesitate to offer support in whatever Tanya needed. She is proud and humbled to be part of the Stronger and Better Together family!
Barbara Sacks is an Attorney who is a Partner of A Better Process a full service legal service business with offices throughout Florida and Puerto Rico. She is actively involved in giving back to the community and is on the Board of a Charity created by her kids Compete 2 Give. She is actively involved with numerous charities including Boys Town, Wayne Barton Study Center, Florence Fuller, Acing Autism, Love Serving Autism, Special Spaces and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Adam first met STRONGER & BETTER TOGETHER Founder Tanya Collazo in college. He decided to join the team after spending five days in Puerto Rico because he wants to help elevate awareness about the situationon the ground, and encourage more people to get involved with the relief, recovery and rebuilding effort. Adam's professional experience includes leading branding, communications and marketing organizations for a variety of Music, Media, Healthcare, Technology and Telecommunications companies.
To deliver aid directly to small business owners, students and vulnerable communities throughout Puerto Rico so the island and its people can recover, rebuild and thrive long-term.
